Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons   Since 1938, the volunteer trainers of Canada's largest association of boating enthusiasts have offered safe boating courses at convenient locations in cities and towns across Canada. The CPS national organization has 180 Squadrons located within the 10 Provinces and The Yukon Territory, with a combined membership exceeding 35,000. The Squadrons are grouped into 17 Districts with National Headquarters located in Toronto.

The Western Canada Inland District is comprised of the 10 Squadrons located between Kamloops BC in the west and Saskatchewan in the east. The District functions to serve the needs of its member Squadrons and to provide representation at the national level.

CPS offers a wide range of boating safety courses, including Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC), power and sail navigation, VHF Radio and Restricted Operator Certificate.  Advanced and elective courses include seamanship, piloting, advanced piloting, weather, and celestial navigation. Course availability will vary by Squadron so check the training page of this website or contact the Squadron nearest you for details and registration.
